Several Arab families decided to act on Hizbullah Chief Hassan Nasrallah's "recommendation" and leave rocket-stricken Haifa during the war in south Lebanon. They traveled to Palestinian towns like Bethlehem and Ramallah, and even to east Jerusalem, but soon after decided they had rather return home and face the rocket menace. The reason: The bad treatment awarded to them in hotels, restaurants and stores, as well as ongoing harassments of their wives and daughters on the part of the local residents.

Ghani Abassi, married and a father of three daughters, decided to go with his family to Bethlehem and flee the Katyusha attacks. Abbasi traveled to the Palestinian town with some 10 other families from Haifa, who all chose to stay at local hotels. Unfortunately, this was when their true nightmare began.

"I waited for three days until I got a room. Then it turned out that the air conditioning wasn't working, and I was told that the reason was the high price of electricity. I decided that this wasn't that bad, because we felt we were among our brothers at the West Bank and were willing to endure the terrible heat, knowing we're safe and that our visit was also of financial help," Abbasi described to the website of the Israeli-Arab newspaper al-Sinara.

"However, the treatment we received was disgraceful and dreadful," he said. "We walked around town for a while, but the attitude we encountered on the part of the locals was horrible. The youngsters on the street started harassing our wives and daughters and used shocking expressions that I cannot even bring myself to pronounce," he said.

Another Haifa resident, who went with his family to Jerusalem to escape from the rocket threat, said that the local merchants blatantly took advantage of the situation and inflated the prices in stores. A bottle of mineral water that usually sells for about NIS 4, for instance, was being sold to the Haifa tourists for NIS 10.

'Even foreigners are respected there'

"They told us, 'you are worse than the Jews.' We heard expressions of joy over the fact we have fled our homes, and some even tried to attack us. We were disgusted and decided to return to Haifa," he said, stressing that he used to be a regular donor to the Palestinians of the West Bank and Gaza.

According to him, after that day and the humiliation he experienced in Bethlehem, he does not plan on donating even one shekel. "We thought we are one nation and that what really hurts them, hurts us too. We went to demonstrations for them and we donated a lot of money to them because we thought they are our brothers and that is our obligation. But, what we found was exploitation and undeserving treatment toward someone supposedly from the same nation," he told.

The same resident added that he expected the families from Haifa and Nazareth to be warmly received in the West Bank towns, but what took place was the exact opposite. Today he speaks with regret about the two days he spent in Bethlehem.

"While touring in Ramallah, a few youngsters said to us, 'you are the same as, even worse than, the Jews.' We tried to understand why they were acting that way toward us, but they attacked us and a fight broke out. We are very sorry for what happened and we couldn't have expected such an unfit welcome from members of our nation whom we had respected and appreciated very much. But they didn't respect us at all, and saw as worse than the Jews. We are very sorry for what happened and that we drove all the way there to see the painful truth that they don't respect us there," said Ghani Abassi.

Abassi added that the restaurants jacked up prices for customers because they thought they were foreign 'tourists.' "Even foreigners are respected there, but we, their own brothers, felt like they don't respect us, and my friends and I asked why? Are we unworthy of the respect due to members of the same nation?"

Following such treatment, Abassi and his friends hurried back to the lap of the Katyushas and air raid sirens of Haifa. "'We will never again make a donation or participate in a demonstration for the West Bank from now on," said one of them.

Al Hayat (arapske novine iz Londona, a ne TV iz BiH) izvješćuje da je postignut kompromis između libanonske vlade i Hizb Alle po kojem bi vlada Božjoj stranci dozvolila da zadrže oružje skriveno po bunkerima južnog Libanona.

Takav bi se dogovor odnosio na područja južno od Litanija, dok bi o onom sjeverno od rijeke Litani pregovaralo kasnije.

Naravno da je takav dogovor u suprotnosti s Rezolucijom VS UN-a 1701, po kojoj su jedine naoružane snage na teritoriju od Litanija do izraelske granice UNIFIL i libanonska vojska.

NASRALLA(H) SVOJIM RIJECIMA

Tko je ili što je Hassan Nasrallah, vodeći čovjek Hizb Alle?

Od veljače, 1992., Hassan Nasrallah, vodi Lebanonski Hizb Allah, Iranski podurptu terosrističku grupu, koji prema izvješćima prima između 100 i 200 milijuna $ od Irana i drugih podupiratelja iz Arapsko-muslimanskog svijeta. On se jasno suprotstavlja priznavanju Države Izrael, nazivajući ju "kancerogenim entitetom", "krajnjim zlom", čija je "anihilacija...definitna stvar".

Poseban odnos, gaji prema Židovima pa se njegova "pažnja" očituje već nekoliko mjeseci nakon što je zasjeo na čelno mjesto hezbollaha na ovaj način: smatra se, prema svojemu priznanju, odgovornim za: smrt 29 ljudi i ranjavanje 200 osoba u bombaškom napadu na izraelsko veleposlanstvo u Buenos Ariesu, tamo je malo produžio boravak te je nedugo zatim izveo bombaški napad na Židovski Centar, ubivši 89 i ranivši preko 200 osoba.

Širenje aktivnosti Hizb Alle nakon, što je Nasrallah, preuzeo vodstvo, proizlazi iz stava da su Židovi uvijek i svugdje legitimna meta terorizma, ovoje razvidno iz sljedećih izjava, dotičnog:

Naravno njegova "pažnja" prema Židovima, kao i kod svih dobrih antisemita, očituje se prvenstveno u odnosu prema Izraelu. Tako je Hizb Allah pojačao aktivnosti nakon što je Nasrallah zauzeo vodstvo, pa je njegov potpis na sljedećim masakrima: 1993., 26 vojnika IDF-a je ubijeno (dvostruko više od godine prije), Hizb Allah je ispalio oko 150 Kaćuša, a taj je broj gotovo utrostručio u 1996., kada je poslano preko 500 Kaćuša na Izrael. Kao posljedicu imalo je to što su se izraelske žrtve gomilale, pa je 1997. ubijeno blizu 40 IDF-ovih vojnika, u sukobu s Hizb Allom. Bombaški samoubilački napadi i druge terorističke akcije, uzele su svoj danak na Izraelcima, pa je tako Hizb Allah uglavnom zaslužan za povlačenje Izraela iz Libanona u 2000., događaj koji se smatra jedinim izraelskim porazom od Arapske strane. Nasrallin libanonski uspjeh i činjenica da je njegov najstariji sin, Hadi, poginuo u borbi s izraelom 1997., podigao je ugled Nasralle i Hizb Alle u regiji, dodajući u njegovu borbu dodatne osobne motive.

One of the central reasons for creating Hizbullah was to challenge the Zionist program in the region. Hizbullah still preserves this principle, and when an Egyptian journalist visited me after the liberation and asked me if the destruction of Israel and the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem were Hizbullah's goal, I replied: "That is the principal objective of Hizbullah, and it is no less sacred than our [ultimate] goal. The generation that lived through the creation of this entity is still alive. This generation watches documentaries and reads documents that show that the land conquered was called Palestine, not Israel." We face an entity that conquered the land of another people, drove them out of their land, and committed horrendous massacres. As we see, this is an illegal state; it is a cancerous entity and the root of all the crises and wars and cannot be a factor in bringing about a true and just peace in this region. Therefore, we cannot acknowledge the existence of a state called Israel, not even far in the future, as some people have tried to suggest. Time does not cancel the legitimacy of the Palestinian claim.

Ne iznenađuje da su Palestinci započeli svoje najubitačnije napade, bombašima samoubojicama, u 2000., samo nekoliko mjeseci nakon što su izraelske snage napustile Libanon.


Nasrallah, huškanje i Al-Manar TV

Huškanje je oduvijek sastavni dio strategije Hizb Alle. U intervjuu sa Al-Safir-om, Nasrallah je opisao svoje prioritete u prvim mjesecima njegova vodstva Hizb Alle:

The main effort at the time went into mustering and attracting young men and setting up military camps...

The second effort was spreading the word among the people, first, in a bid to raise their morale, and second to instil in them a sense of animosity towards the enemy, coupled with a spirit of resistence...this required us to use the language of indoctrination rather than realpolitik. People then were not in need of political analysis, they were in need of being incited and goaded.

Nasrallah odašilje svoje poruke preko vlastite tv-stanice Al-Manar, glavnog strija za huškanje na nasilje protiv Židova, Izraelaca i Amerikanaca. Al Manar-ska iskazana misija je:

wage psychological warfare against the Zionist enemy.

To se ostvaruje, glorificiranjem napada, posebice samoubilačkih protiv Izraela. Prošle je godine, Nasrallah pojavivši se na Al-Manar-u ohrabrivao "mučeništvo" među djecom, govoreći:

We do not want to...leave our homeland to Israel... Therefore, we are not interested in our own personal security. On the contrary, each of us lives his days and nights hoping more than anything to be killed for the sake of Allah. (

Nasrallah i palestinsko-izraelski spor

Nasrallah potpaljuje tenzije između Izraela i Palestinaca koristeći Hizb Alline resurse kako bi potpomogao palestinske napade na Izraelce. Rekao je AP-u da je opskrbljivao Palestince oružjem do 2001., kada je Izrael presreo brod s oružjem koje je smjeralo za Judeju i Samariju. Nasrallah i Palestinci u Libanonu

Dok Nasrallah potiče Palestince da pomru za njihova "prava" i "slobodu" protiv Izraela, odbija dati državljanstvo Palestincima koji žive u Libanonu:

The Lebanese refuse to give the Palestinians residing in Lebanon Lebanese citizenship, and we refuse their resettlement in Lebanon. O izraelskoj destrukciji Beiruta, evo nešto iz drugog kuta - pogledajte satelitsku mapu!Označio sam, najbolje što sam mogao, ALI U NJIHOVOJ PRAVILNOJ PROPORCIJI, dijelove mog rodnog grada, koje je Izrael uništio. To su Haret Hreik – u potpunosti – i naselje Hizb Allinih vođa, smješteno u velikom šiitskom predgrađu Dayaa (kako ga oni speluju) i taj sam dio zaokružio u plavom.

Uz ova dva dijela grada, izraelsko je zrakoplovstvo raznijelo Hizb Allinu 9-katnicu, u kojoj se nalazila Hizb Allina komanda, u centru Beiruta pa malo prema sjeverozapadu od Haret Hreika na mapi. It was Nasrallah’s perch inside the city, whereby he asserted his presence and domination over us. A depot of Syrian arms in the port, two army radars that the Shiite officers had put at the Hezb’s disposal, and a truck suspected of transporting arms, in the Christian quarter of Ashrafieh.

Moreover the road and airport infrastructures were put out of working order: they served to provide Hezbollah with arms and munitions. Apart from that, Tsahal has neither hit nor deteriorated anything...

ČIJI JE HAR DOV...

... ili, u javnosti poznatiji pod nazivom Šeba/Šaba/Shebaa farme? Har Dov osvojen je u 6-dnevnom ratu od Sirije i, zajedno s ostatkom Golana anektiran Izraelu.

Kao što je iz opće kulture poznato, Golan je bio dio mandatne Palestine (a koja je formirana na teritoriji nekoliko osmanskih sandžaka), koju su Britanci dobili u mandat od Lige naroda, a da na njenom teritoriju osnuju židovski nacionalni dom.

Britanci su Golan prepustili Francuzima za francusku Siriju 1923. (dvije godine ranije Britanci su već odvojili 4/5 Palestine osnivajući Transjordan, gdje su na prijestolje doveli svog klijenta, hašemitskog šerifa iz Meke).

U procesu razgraničenja između francuskih Sirije i Libanona Har Dov je, tridesetih godina 20. stoljeća, pripao Siriji.

kada se Izrael povlačio iz Libanona, isti je potegao i pitanje Har Dova na što je Sirija izjavila da je ona spremna taj dio teritorija prepustiti Libanonu (racio kojeg ovdje ne treba objašnjavati, jer je očigledan). Međutim, kad je UN zahtijevao da Sirija to kanalizira kroz službeni dokument, ista je odbila jer - Sirija uopće ne prizmaje da je Libanon zasebna država, već da je isti dio velike Sirije. Potpisom takvog dokumenta, Sirija bi implicitno priznala libanonsku neovisnost.

Ironično, zar ne? Izrael je još u ratu s Libanonom i Sirijom, koje su ga napale 1949. i koje ga ne priznaju za džavu. Istovremeno Sirija ne priznaje Libanon. Palestincima u Libanonu određena je lista zanimanja, kojima se mogu baviti, a još od 1949. godine tamo, kao i u Siriji, Jordanu, Egiptu... i diljem arapskog svijeta, Palestinci žive u izbjegličkim logorima i ne mogu dobiti državljanstvo dotičnih zemalja.

Da sad ne spominjemo arapsko razaranje Sudana, razmirice između Saudije i Jemena... odnosi šija i sunita...

Što ih onda povezuje? Mržnja prema Izraelu, naravno.

Izašla istina na vidjelo? Nema veze. Cilj je postignut - Izrael je još jednom demoniziran u svjetskoj javnosti i imamo nastavak poznate ikonografije, koju čini slučaj Muhameda al Dure iz 2000., slučaj masakra u Jeninu iz 2002. i sad Qana, 2005.

HIZB ALLAH... DANAS KOD NAS, SUTRA U VAŠEM GRADU

HIZB ALLINA ZLOUPORABA CIVILA

Ich wohnte bis 2002 in einem kleinen Dorf im Süden nahe Mardschajun, das mehrheitlich von Schiiten wie mir bewohnt ist. Nach Israels Verlassen des Libanon dauerte es nicht lange, bis die Hisbollah bei uns und in allen anderen Ortschaften das Sagen hatte. Als erfolgreiche Widerstandskämpfer begrüßt, erschienen sie waffenstarrend und legten auch bei uns Raketenlager in Bunkern an. Die Sozialarbeit der Partei Gottes bestand darin, auf diesen Bunkern eine Schule und ein Wohnhaus zu bauen! Ein lokaler Scheich erklärte mir lachend, dass die Juden in jedem Fall verlieren, entweder weil die Raketen auf sie geschossen werden oder weil sie, wenn sie die Lager angriffen, von der Weltöffentlichkeit verurteilt werden ob der dann zivilen Toten. Die libanesische Bevölkerung interessiert diese Leute überhaupt nicht, sie benutzen sie als Schilder und wenn tot als Propaganda. Solange sie dort existieren, wird es keine Ruhe und Frieden geben.

Ove ljude nije briga za libanonsko stanovništvo, oni ih koriste kao žive štitove, i, kad jednom stradaju, kao propagandu. Dokle god Hizb Allah tamo egzistira, mira neće biti...

INCIDENT U QANI - UPDATE

Istraga izraelske vojske ustanovila je da se zgrada u Qani (Kani) srušila oko osam sati nakon djelovanja izraelskog zrakoplovstva.

Napad na strukturu u selu Qani dogodio se između ponoć i jedan. Vremenska šupljina između vremena kolapsa zgrade i vremena udara je nejasna,

rekao je brigadni general Amir Eshel, čelni čovjek Glavnog stožera IAF-a - izraelskog zrakoplovstva novinarima na konferenciji u Ministarstvu obrane u Tel Avivu.

Brigadni general Eshel i šef operativnog stožera (Operational Branch) izraelske vojske, general-bojnik (Major General) Gadi Eisnkot rekli su da struktura nije bila napadnuta u vrijeme kad se srušila - oko 8 sati ujutro.

IDF vjeruje da je i Hizb Allin eksploziv u zgradi mogao biti iza eksplozije, koja je uzrokovala kolaps.

Druga mogućnost je da je zgrada ostala stajati nekoliko sati od napada, ali je onda ipak došlo do kolapsa.

Moguće je da su u zgradi bile pohranjene (s)tvari, koje s konačno mogle dovesti do eksplozije. Ovo govorim vrlo oprezno, jer do ovog trenutka ne znam kako objasniti ovu vremensku pukotinu od napada do kolapsa građevine.

There are other mysteries. The roof of the building was intact. Journalist Ben Wedeman of CNN noted that there was a larger crater next to the building, but observed that the building appeared not to have collapsed as a result of the Israeli strike.

Why would the civilians who had supposedly taken shelter in the basement of the building not leave after the post-midnight attack? They just went back to sleep and had the bad luck to wait for the building to collapse in the morning?

What we do know is that sometime after dawn a call went hour to journalists and rescue workers to come to the scene. And come they did.

While Hezbollah and its apologists have been claiming that civilians could not freely flee the scene due to Israeli destruction of bridges and roads, the journalists and rescue teams from nearby Tyre had no problem getting there.

Lebanese rescue teams did not start evacuating the building until the morning and only after the camera crews came. The absence of a real rescue effort was explained by saying that equipment was lacking. There were no scenes of live or injured people being extracted.

There was little blood, CNN’s Wedeman noted: all the victims, he concluded, appeared to have died while as they were sleeping — sleeping, apparently, through thunderous Israeli air attacks. Rescue workers equipped with cameras were removing the bodies from the same opening in the collapsed structure. Journalists were not allowed near the collapsed building.

Rescue workers filmed as they went carried the victims on the stretchers, occasionally flipping up the blankets so that cameras could show the faces and bodies of the dead.

But Israelis steeled to scenes of carnage from Palestinian suicide bombings and Hezbollah rocket attack could not help but notice that these victims did not look like our victims. Their faces were ashen gray. Their limbs appeared to have stiffened, from rigor mortis. Neither were effects that would have resulted from an Israeli attack hours before. These were bodies that looked like they had been dead for days.

It seems to me there is a consistent timeline.

1) IDF hits the building at 1:00 am. Civilians sleeping in the building are killed, mostly by overpressure (few visible injuries).

The bodies are not recovered immediately in the dark during ongoing IDF attacks in the area.

2) Building collapses around 8:00 am. Maybe it was weakened and a nearby hit dropped it, maybe some other munition finally "cooked off."

Building collapse is not as complete as WTC, does not create the same volume of dust coverage.

3) Rescuers dig out victims showing rigor mortis (some 7 hours after death).

4) The rescue activity is also a political activity. Some of the rescuers dig out the victims, others carry the victims out for pictures. The carriers are photogenic and fairly clean.

It is still possible that extra bodies were planted.

It appears that some of the "rescuers" are as concerned with the photo opportunity as they are with the rescue effort.

It is certain that weapons were stored in, and launched near, a building that housed civilians. This is a war crime.

According to one of the neighbors, the house that was bombed was a children's shelter. The residents who agreed to speak said that there were two families who funded the shelter because of its proximity to the mosque. All the residents denied Israeli claims that Hizbullah fighters roamed the streets or that rockets were shot from their neighborhood.

INCIDENT U QANI

Glasnogovornik izraelske vojske:

Jutros, 30. srpnja 2006. godine, izraelsko ratno zrakoplovstvo napalo je raketni lanser u podrčju sela Qane; s tog područja su stotine raketa lansirane prema izraelskom gradu Nahariji i zajednicama u zapadnoj Galileji.

Izraelska vojska branit će državljane Izraela od Hizb Allinih napada i odgovornost za sve civilne žrtve pada na Hizb Allina leđa, jer su isti libanonska predgrađa pretvorili u ratni front, ispaljivanjem raketa iz civilnih područja.

Stanovnici ove regije, a posebno stanovnici sela Qane, danima su bili upozoravani da napuste selo. Osamnaest izraelskih civila je ubijeno, a preko 400 ranjeno raketama ispaljenih s ovog područja, koje su ugrozile živote desetinama tisuća izraelskih građana.

IDF žali za svaku štetu, koju trpe neinvolvirani civili, ali ovaj je incident rezultat Hizb Allinog korištenja libanonskih civila kao živih štitova.

500,000 IZBJEGLICA PRED HIZB ALLINIM RAKETAMA

Oko 500.000 stanovnika sjevernog Izraela moralo je otići iz svoga doma zbog raketa koje je Hezbollah ispaljivao sa svojih položaja u Libanonu tijekom deventnaestodnevnog sukoba, izjavio je službeni predstavnik izraelske vlade.

Zbog raketnih napada ugroženo je oko milijun stanovnika sjevernog Izraela, od kojih je trećina napustila svoj dom,

As Kassams fall on Sderot injuring and killing I don't hear the UN talk about aid to the victims.

In fact, it was only when Israel began to hit back did the world suddenly remember the word “cease-fire”.

The truth is, keep your aid, and keep your cease-fires.

In the end, we Jews are keeping the mitzvah of supporting our own and don’t want or need to share it with you. We are raising our own funds to support the victims of Islamic Fundamentalism and World Hypocrisy. We are providing shelter for our own in our own homes.

HIZB ALLAH... STARI SAVEZI TEŠKO UMIRU...

Osim već zasigurno poznatih dijelova o tome kako se pripadnici Hizb Alle kriju ucivilnim objektima i po poljima, zanimljivo je vidjeti na koji način oni promatraju ovaj sukob, kojeg su sami izazvali:

For Ali and his comrades, the latest conflict is a war of survival not only for Hizbullah but for the whole Shia community. It is not only as a war with Israel, their enemy for decades, but also with the Sunni community. Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt have all expressed fears of Iranian domination over the Middle East.

First they tried to do it through the Lebanese government and the UN. When they failed, the Americans asked the Israelis to do the job."

O nesrazmejru u broju žrtava s jedne i druge strane:

O Hizb Allinom raketiranju izraelskih položaja tjednima prije ubojstva i otmice vojnika te raketiranja gradova, a kojis pokrenuli najnoviju eskalaciju:

As an American-Isreali while serving on the Lebenon/Israel Border just over a year ago in May, our base was pounded with rockets and morters two weekends in a row. The Hezbolah were using the UN bases as cover while not inside the UN Bases were positioned alongside as to prevent us (I was in a tank) from returning fire. Talk about peacekeepers! We all know the UN is a platfrom for promoting terrorisim and the suffering of those who truly want to live peacfully and democraticly.

NASRALLAH INCOGNITO U DAMASKU

Glavni tajnik Aline/Alahove/Allahove/Božje stranke (Huzb Allah), Hassan Nasrallah danas bi trebao biti u damasku, kako bi se sastao sa sirijskim predsjednikom Basharom Assadom i predsjednikom iranskog Vrhovnog nacionalnog vijeća sigurnosti, Alijem Larijanijem, piše kuvajtski dnevnik Al-Seyassah.

Članak citira sirijske izvore i kaže da je Nasralla(h) došao u civilnoj odjeći, a ne u uobičajenoj klerikalnoj uniformi, u kojoj se inače ukazuje (sic!).

Dnevnik Al-Seyassah, poznat po svojoj antisirijskoj orijentaciji, tvrdi da je sastanak organiziran kako bi se našao način opskrbe iranskim oružjem za Hizb Alline teroriste, a preko Sirije.

Another UN position of the Ghanaian battalion in the area of Marwahin in the western sector was also directly hit by one mortar round from the Hezbollah side last night. US diplomats refused to comment, and US Ambassador John Bolton was in Washington preparing for a new confirmation hearing before the Senate; however, several diplomats said the United States objected to one paragraph, which said the council "condemns any deliberate attack against UN personnel and emphasizes that such attacks are unacceptable."

Kanadski premijer Steven Harper(kanadski vojnik ubijen u napadu):

Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper said an Israeli attack on a UN outpost that killed four, including a Canadian, was a “terrible tragedy” but not likely deliberate.

At the same time, he questioned why the UN had manned the outpost in Lebanon near the Israeli border as bombs exploded all around.

“We want to find out why this United Nations post was attacked and also why it remained manned during what is now, more or less, a war during obvious danger to these individuals,” he told reporters.

SIRENE ZA UZBUNU NISU SE OGLASILE U NAZARETU...

Nazaret je većinski arapski grad u Galileji, na sjeveru Izraela. Nekad je imao kršćansku, danas, pak, muslimansku većinu. Ovih dana našao se na dometu kaćuša i poginulo je dvoje djece. Sirene se nisu oglasile prije napada. Sirene se ne oglašavaju nužno prije svakog raketnog napada, što su iskusili i drugi izraelski gradovi ovih dana.

Međutim, činjenica neoglašavanja sirena ubrzo je našla mjesto u medijima, uključujući i one izraelske, kao još jedan dokaz očigledne diskriminacije izraelskih Arapa. Jedan od primjera je bio i komentar Yariva Oppenheimera, glavnog tajnika organizacije Peace Now: No sirens in Arabic.

Ovom prilikom potegnut je i argument manjka skloništa i soba-skloništa, koje moraju imati sve novosagrađene zgrade i kuće (ojačana soba u svakoj pojedinačnoj stambenoj jedinici). Međutim, glas razuma probio se barem u izraelske medije - lokalne vlasti odgovorne su i za gradnju skloništa i za izdavanje dozvola za gradnju stanova i kuća, gdje jedan od uvjeta mora biti prisustvo sobe-skloništa.

Home Front Commander: Nazareth asked to be disconnected from air raid sirens

Home Front Commander Yitzhak Jerry Gershon told government ministers: "The city of Nazareth asked to be disconnected from the system of air raid sirens because it interfered with them on remembrance days for IDF martyrs and on Holocaust Day."

Gershon was responding to claims that the siren didn't work in the city when it came under rocket attack in which two brothers were killed last week. (Ronny Sofer)
